One-Piece vs Two-Piece Macerating Toilet: Which Should You Buy?

“One-piece” and “two-piece” here mostly describe where the pump lives, and that changes how the bathroom looks and how much room you have.

Two-piece (pump as a separate box)

The pump sits behind or beside the toilet as its own unit. It’s usually the more flexible setup because the pump often has extra inlets for a sink, shower, or tub.

  • Best for: full basement bathrooms and anywhere you’ll tie in more fixtures
  • Watch for: the pump box takes up floor space, so plan to hide it in a wall cabinet or chase

SNFLEX Two-Piece Macerating Toilet (600W)

The all-rounder. Two inlets on the pump let you tie in a sink and shower. The one most basement bathrooms need.

One-piece (pump built in or hidden behind)

The pump is tucked directly behind the bowl, so it looks more like a standard toilet and takes up less room.

  • Best for: half baths, small spaces, and anyone who cares about looks
  • Watch for: fewer extra inlets, so it’s not ideal if you want a shower on the same pump

SNFLEX One-Piece Macerating Toilet (600W)

Pump tucks behind the bowl, so it looks like a normal toilet and saves floor space.
